Upper West, Barrie

JDB Associates were retained by Pratt Homes to complete the landscape design for their condominium development Manhattan ‘Upper West’ in Barrie. The role of JDB was to complete the design of various amenity spaces throughout the development. 

An amenity area was constructed in the center of the 3-building development to provide tenants with an outdoor leisure space which was coined ‘Tavern on the Green’. At the southern end of Upper West recreational amenities were implemented into the traditional SWM facility by furnishing a fitness loop track and outdoor exercise equipment. Additionally a playground was constructed in the northern end of the site to give children an area to burn off some energy. By employing various amenity spaces it was important to provide all demographics with an outdoor space where users can take in the beautiful scenery surrounding Upper West.
