Georgian College Cenotaph, Barrie

In 2010 Georgian College retained JDB Associates to complete the design of their Cenotaph which was being relocated on campus. This space is used to commemorate our fallen soldiers and provides people with an area to gather for events like Remembrance Day. The cenotaph boasts raised monument panels with bronze maple leaves, a center plaque, tall flags, and a circular interlock area for crowds. The cenotaph is in the middle of a roundabout for the College’s administrative building and acts as a focal point for the campus.
